Sensitivity Reading Details

Based on my own experiences, I specialize in obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and major depressive disorder (MDD).

I thoroughly read the manuscript and provide detailed feedback on how it represents the chosen area of focus. I look for issues involving:

Accuracy
Believability
Stereotyping
Offensive language
“Othering”—treating a side character like they are separate/less than only because of their disorder

I provide the feedback in a written report and allow one round of follow-up questions.

I accept documents in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and PDFs.

Pricing

Pricing is in USD and largely based on the editorial rates described by the Editorial Freelancers Association.

Minimum payment: $50

Price per word: 1¢

Examples:

2,500	$50 (because of minimum payment)

Hourly Rate: $30 (This applies only if the service is cancelled while I’m working on it.)

Ordering

You can contact me about your project through the form below.

I accept payments through Square and PayPal.

For short projects, I require payment in full before I start working on them. For longer projects, I require a down payment of 50% the total agreed-upon price. After finishing the service, I require the remaining amount to be paid before I send you the report.

If we decide to work together, I’ll first provide a contract for us to sign in order to protect both of our interests. For the refund and late payment policies, you can find them on the FAQ page.
